Georgia State Association of Power Engineers Inc.
The Georgia State Association of Power Engineers was incorporated on
The members pledge themselves to the safe generation, conversion and transmission of power through training and licensing programs as well as conservation of of the natural resources in the State of Georgia, and the Nation. The Georgia State Association of Power Engineers has been training, examining, and licensing high-quality personnel for industrial and commercial power plants since 1973. The know-how and experience of GSAPE goes back even farther as GSAPE grew out of the Fulton County Board of Examiners, which began in 1910. It was begun through a law granting counties of 70,000 or more the authority to appoint a Board. Since this law was rescinded in 1971, the number of qualified licensed personnel in power plants has been dropping. According the the latest National Board of Boiler Inspectors statistics, the number of deaths and injurys due to accidents has been rising, as have unsafe conditions, and the cost of maintaining boiler equipment. GSAPE is a voluntary organization. It is not in business to make a profit. We charge only what we must, to cover the cost of travel for examiners and the exams. We respect this vocation and want to help improve its average levels of safety and efficiency. We know of the tragedies that can occur when high-pressure equipment is not adequately maintained. We hope you will take advantage of the educational, examining and
licensing services we have to offer. We also hope you will join us as part of
the oldest, most dedicated, and experienced stationary engineering
organization in Georgia. Georgia State Association Of Power Engineers Contact
